Wet Cat in Essaouira

A grey Moroccan cat rests on the wet stone sill of a whitewashed window frame in Essaouira, its fur damp from the morning rain. First light falls through the heavy wooden lattice, casting soft geometric shadows across the cat's curled body and the surrounding plaster wall. Below the sill, the narrow street is slick with rainwater, reflecting the muted grey sky and the distant blue accents of traditional doors. One fresh orange peel lies discarded on the ledge near the cat's paw, its bright color against the subdued tones of the wet stone.
