Jewel-green patina spreads across the oxidized copper face of a penny, resting on a bed of damp, emerald moss. Honey-colored light from a window washes the scene, turning the verdigris into translucent emeralds and the copper into deep amber. Dew rests on the moss blades, creating tiny, sharp reflections that catch the warm glow. The background remains sharp, revealing the texture of the moss fibers, while the immediate foreground blurs into a soft, green haze. Warm interior shadows deepen the crevices of the coin, highlighting the rough, crystalline structure of the corrosion against the smooth, wet plant life.
