Polished stainless steel curves through the foreground, catching a sharp grid of ceiling lights that stretch and warp across its metallic skin. The reflection distorts where the cylinder bends, creating elongated bands of white against the silver. Behind the chamber, a microscopy bench in Qingdao holds various instruments, their details sharp and clear under the early afternoon illumination. Cool tones in the light suggest the turn of seasons. Small highlights rest on the edges of tools beside the main subject. The curved metal occupies the left third of the view, while the grid of lights anchors the upper right. A faint smudge on the lower right edge of the chamber breaks the perfect symmetry.
