Twilight Railway Roundhouse Inside Nagasaki Lobby

Warm sodium-vapor light floods the ribbed concrete lobby, casting amber hues across the curved walls and polished floor. A massive railway roundhouse dominates the center, its turntable resting motionless beneath the high ceiling. Droplets of recent rain rest on the glass panels, blurring the distant twilight outside into soft streaks of indigo and gray. The wet concrete reflects the glowing orange lamps, creating a shimmering path that leads toward the vanishing point. Heavy steel rails curve inward, framing the industrial machinery against the humid, quiet air. The texture of the ribbed ceiling catches the light, showing the depth of the space. One puddle near the foreground mirror the turntable's edge, anchoring the scene in reality.
