Soft afternoon light falls through a high, vaulted iron roof structure, illuminating a large station clock mounted on a sturdy pillar. The air hangs heavy with visible sea spray from the nearby ferry crossing, creating a fine mist that rests on the dark metal beams and the clock's glass face. Rain-wet surfaces reflect the gray sky and the surrounding ironwork, establishing a mirrored effect across the wet ground below. The clock's white dial stands out against the dark, rust-tinged steel of the shelter. Water droplets gather on the iron lattice, while the distant horizon hints at the ferry route. One reflection of the clock face shimmers on the slick pavement, anchoring the composition.
