Tennis Player Backhand Shot Before Sunrise

Mist hangs low over the damp clay court as a tennis player lunges left, body extended in a dynamic backhand stroke. The early morning light is soft and gray, diffusing through the heavy wet-season fog that blurs the distant open fields of Ilorin. Visible breath plumes from the athlete's mouth, mixing with the cold air. The player's white shirt clings slightly to the skin, against the dark, wet surface of the court. Sweat glistens on the forehead, and the tennis ball is a white blur just inches from the racket strings. The background dissolves into a wash of green and gray, keeping the focus entirely on the urgent physical exertion. A shadow stretches long and faint across the red clay near the player's outstretched foot.
