Tasmanian Devil Snarling on Asmara Game Trail

Soft overcast light washes the game trail near Asmara, where a Tasmanian devil stands in profile, baring sharp teeth in a low snarl. Cool season air hangs heavy with sea spray, misting the dark fur and dampening the earth tones of the trail. The animal's shoulders hunch forward, muscles tense beneath coarse black hair. Gray sky blends into the distant horizon, while moisture rests on the low vegetation lining the path. Fine droplets glisten on the devil's whiskers and the wet ground. A shallow puddle at the animal's paws reflects the muted gray of the sky and the dark silhouette of its front legs.
