Tanner Scraping Hide on Beam in Sapporo Workshop

Cool, pale daylight falls through sheer curtains to illuminate a centered figure working at a wooden beam. The tanner uses a curved blade to scrape a thick animal hide stretched tight across the frame. Late autumn light creates a muted tone over the clean surfaces, highlighting the rough texture of the leather against the smooth grain of the wood. The workspace remains uncluttered, with only essential tools visible in the periphery. No dust motes interrupt the view, showing the precision of the motion. The blade catches a faint glint of light as it moves along the hide's edge, while the tanner's hands grip the material with steady tension. A dark shadow falls across the lower edge of the beam.
