Sunset zigzag road over snowy mountain pass near Shimla

Golden firelight washes the rocky saddle where a winding asphalt road cuts through lingering snow patches. The zigzagging path descends sharply into a valley where low clouds drift in translucent layers, breaking into clear blue gaps. Late spring snow rests on the shaded slopes, against the warm orange glow hitting the road surface. Bare rocks and sparse dry grass emerge from the melting white cover along the roadside edges. The asphalt curves in tight geometric loops against the vast, rugged terrain, leading toward the distant horizon where cloud shadows stretch across the valley floor. A final shadow from a jagged rock formation falls across the bottom curve of the road.
