Sunset Chalk Dust Cloud Outside Brick Building

Molten orange light strikes a dense, swirling cloud of white chalk dust suspended in the air just beyond a dark brick lecture building. The fine particles catch the low angle of the setting sun, glowing like suspended snow against the deep red and grey masonry of the Providence architecture. Shadows stretch long across the rough brick surface, highlighting the texture of the mortar and the uneven wear of the wall. The dust cloud hangs in a tight, circular formation, obscuring the dark window frames behind it while illuminating individual specks drifting downward. A faint shadow of a nearby tree branch falls across the lower left corner, at the base of the floating powder in the quiet, institutional calm of the turning season. The edge of the cloud blurs softly where the light fades into the twilight.
