Dust motes hang suspended in the sharp beams of a projector cutting across a dark workshop wall. A scale model of a convective tower stands on a wooden shelf, its white plastic ridges catching the artificial glow against the surrounding shadows. The late winter darkness presses against the window frame just visible at the edge of the shelf. Tiny particles of dust swirl in the light shafts, creating a visible texture over the smooth surface of the tower. The model's base rests firmly on the wood grain, while the upper structure pierces the projected beam. Shadows stretch long and thin behind the object, defining its three-dimensional form against the flat, dark background.
