Cool blue neon reflections from a hallway sign bathe the lower steps in a stark, electric glow that contrasts with the warm amber daylight on the upper rows. The air is still, holding a fine layer of white powder on the dark wood and the worn blackboard at the front. Deep shadows pool in the corners of the room while the leading lines of the seating arrangement guide the gaze toward the empty podium. One smudge of chalk remains on the edge of the front desk, marking the last moment of use before the room fell silent.
