Early morning light spills across a narrow alley in Taipei, illuminating a street vendor’s makeshift workstation where a blue floral porcelain bowl sits beside a stainless steel mixing jug and a worn clay pot. The vendor, an older woman in a faded apron, carefully ladles steaming herbal tea into a clear glass cup, her hands moving with practiced efficiency. Beside her, a woven mending basket holds spare utensils and a pair of worn slippers rests near the entrance of a nearby shop. The vertical lines of traditional tiled facades and modern air conditioning units, showing the quiet rhythm of daily life as the city begins to stir.
