Stone and Oak Tankard on Workshop Shelf

Soft overcast light falls through the air, illuminating floating dust motes above a weathered oak surface in a Keur Massar Sud workshop. A pewter tankard rests near the edge, its metal gleaming with a cool, dull luster. The wooden table beneath it undergoes a strange transformation; the right side has solidified into gray stone while retaining the deep, swirling grain of the oak. The transition is sharp, where organic fibers freeze into mineral hardness. Above, the shelf holds scattered tools and clay vessels typical of the region. The stone texture feels rough and heavy, against the smooth, rounded curves of the tankard. A shadow stretches across the stone-grain interface, marking the boundary between the living wood and the petrified surface.
