Hand Plane on Woodshop Bench in Tanta

Soft overcast light from a nearby window washes a worn metal hand plane resting on a scratched wooden workbench. The tool shows honest signs of use, with minor scuffs and a matte finish that catches the diffused midmorning glow. The bench surface displays deep grooves and a warm, honey-toned grain typical of a working workshop in Tanta. Shadows fall gently across the metal body, showing the curve of the iron blade and the texture of the handle. Early spring light falls through a window, illuminating dust particles hovering above the wood. The plane sits firmly against the edge of the bench, its weight at the base of the composition. A small chip of dried varnish rests on the wood beside the tool's heel.
