Carafe on Bedside Table Near Tanga at Sunset

Honey-colored light from a setting sun washes over a weathered wooden bedside table in a room near Tanga. A clear glass carafe sits centrally, its rim catching sharp silver reflections from the fading daylight. Condensation beads along the surface of a nearby drinking glass, indicating the cool interior against the warm air of the dry season. Folded cloth napery rests beside the glassware, their texture softened by the low angle of light. The table surface shows signs of age with faint scratches and a matte finish that absorbs the golden glow. Dust motes hang suspended in the shaft of light, while the shadows stretch long and soft across the grain of the wood, at the base of the objects in a quiet, resilient stillness.
