Soft white steamed bao buns nestle inside a round woven bamboo basket resting on a plain wooden shelf. North-facing window light strikes the left side, highlighting the delicate pleats and puffy texture of the dough while shadows fall gently to the right, deepening the creases between the buns. The bamboo weave displays natural tan and brown tones against the pale, smooth surfaces of the bread. The shelf edge remains clean and uncluttered. One bun sits slightly apart, its shadow stretching across the wood grain near the basket rim.
