Soft morning light falls through sheer curtains, casting gentle shadows across a weathered wooden table. A bamboo tray holds several steamed char siu bao, their pale dough slightly translucent where the light hits. The bun tops show subtle pinched folds, hinting at their handmade origin. Cool season air settles in the room, visible in the stillness of the steam rising slowly from the warm pastries. The rustic wood grain runs diagonally beneath the tray, adding texture to the scene. Warm interior shadows pool in the corners, against the cool daylight. One bun sits slightly apart, its smooth surface catching the soft glow.
