Stair Tower Under Construction in Scottish Isles Renovation

Pale winter light falls through sheer curtains to illuminate a concrete stair tower in mid-renovation across the Scottish Isles. Steel edge rails line the open stairwell, their metallic surfaces catching the soft, flat illumination. Concrete stair pans form a geometric descent, marked by bold white floor-number stencils oversprayed directly onto the gray aggregate. Condensation beads along the nearby glass pane, distorting the view slightly while hinting at the cool air. The wide panoramic framing shows the raw texture of unfinished walls and the practical urgency of the build site. Dust settles on the lower steps, and the temporary lighting casts long, soft shadows that define the depth of the stairwell void.
