Fire Caulk Nozzle Holster in Bare Stair Tower

Flat noon light floods the north-facing window, casting sharp, angular shadows across the concrete walls of a bare shell stair tower in Western Australia. A fire caulk nozzle holster hangs suspended against the rough, gray masonry, its black rubber and metal hardware gleaming with polished highlights. The converging lines of the stairwell draw toward a distant vanishing point, showing the vertical depth of the empty space. Winter chill is visible in the stark, unheated air and the absence of any soft furnishings. Nearby, separated by the equipment, fit-out hardware and signage rest on the floor, waiting for the turnover rounds. The metal surface of the holster reflects a tiny, bright specular point where the light strikes the edge of the nozzle.
