Souvenir Stall Under Blue Dawn at Temple Gate

Soft blue dawn light falls through the open prayer hall in Ruhengeri, illuminating rows of pilgrimage souvenirs arranged on wooden tables. Rain-slicked stone floors reflect the muted sky, while humid air hangs heavy in the damp morning. Colorful woven bags, small statues, and incense sticks sit in neat stacks beside carved wooden bowls. Shadows stretch long across the wet ground as the first light of day begins to fade into gray. The stall stands under a high archway, its layers of goods receding into the dim distance where faint outlines of pillars rise against the wall. One clay pot rests near the edge, its surface still glistening with droplets from the recent shower.
