Blue Dawn Souvenir Stall at Benghazi Temple Gate

Pale blue light from the predawn sky washes over a wooden stall set beneath the arch of a temple gate in Benghazi. Strings of unlit paper lanterns hang in rows, their paper surfaces damp and heavy with monsoon moisture. Small rows of souvenirs sit on weathered planks, their colors muted by the low light. Water droplets bead on the wood grain, reflecting the faint first rays of the rising sun. In the immediate foreground, blurred shapes of wet leaves create a soft, out-of-focus barrier, while the stall's structure stands sharp and still against the cooling morning. One red tassel hangs motionless from a corner beam.
