Snowy Streetlamp and Ringed Planet Shelf
by Luke Parsons
A vintage brass streetlamp stands upright on a rough-hewn pine workbench, its glass globe glowing with a soft, warm tungsten light that cuts through the deep winter night. Fine, white snowflakes drift down from the ceiling of the Stockholm workshop, accumulating in soft drifts around the lamp's base. The room is steeped in amber shadows cast by the single light source, highlighting the grain of the wood and the dust motes suspended in the air. Through the open window behind the shelf, a massive planet with distinct, bright rings hangs low on the horizon, appearing as an enormous moon that dominates the dark sky. The cold blue light from the celestial body contrasts sharply with the interior warmth, creating a stark boundary between the cozy, cluttered workshop and the vast, impossible cosmos outside.
