Fresh snow blankets the sweeping curves of a highway cloverleaf, creating stark white ribbons against the dark, terraced hillsides of the Northwest Territories. The intersection glows with a faint rim light while the road surface remains in deep shadow, showing the geometric precision of the concrete and asphalt. Layers of the landscape recede into the distance under a perfectly clear sky, where the endless summer light casts a cool, blue hue over the scene. The contrast between the rigid engineering of the interchange and the organic slopes of the terrain creates a striking visual rhythm. One patch of exposed asphalt near the center ramp reflects the faint ambient glow of the sky.
