Soft afternoon light falls through low-hanging gray clouds, illuminating a ribbed concrete lobby in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. A woven basket sits directly on the textured floor beside a cottage-style front door, filled with colorful socks and soft slippers. The vertical ribs of the concrete walls create strong converging lines that draw toward the vanishing point in the distance. Water droplets rest on the door frame, evidence of the recent rain in the rainy season. The rough surface of the concrete contrasts with the smooth fabric of the socks. A shadow stretches across the floor, defined by the angle of the light filtering through the overcast sky. The arrangement rests firmly against the wall, anchored by the heavy texture of the architecture.
