Heavy overcast skies press down on a glass-roofed arcade near Imphal, where a Roman forum colonnade stands in stark silhouette against the fading golden light. Massive stone pillars rise vertically, their fluted surfaces lost in deep shadow while the translucent roof diffuses the late summer sun into a soft, hazy glow. The low angle emphasizes the towering height of the arches, creating a rhythmic pattern of dark vertical forms against the bright, milky sky. Dust motes hang suspended in the backlight, catching faint amber highlights before vanishing into the gloom. at the edge is the sharp, dark edge of a capital resting against the luminous, overcast ceiling.
