Silhouetted Owl in Monsoon Light Benin Reed Bed

Brilliant white coastal glare floods the frame, casting the owl into a stark, dark silhouette against a sky heavy with monsoon clouds. The bird sits rigid on a rough, weathered branch that juts from a dense bed of tall reeds. Feathers appear as a solid black shape, defined only by the sharp outline of its head and folded wings. The reeds below are thick and green, their tops swaying slightly in the wind. Hard light cuts through the heavy cloud cover, creating deep shadows beneath the branch. The texture of the bark is rough and uneven against the smooth darkness of the bird. One feather edge catches the light, glowing faintly white before fading back into shadow.
