Silhouetted Markhor on Wind-Scoured Kashmir Cliff

Deep orange light from the setting sun paints the sky while a markhor stands in stark silhouette against the glow. The animal balances on a narrow, jagged ledge carved into a sheer rock face, its spiraling horns tracing a sharp curve against the horizon. Dead winter leaves the surrounding ridges bare, exposing the rough, gray texture of the stone beneath the creature's hooves. Heavy, dramatic clouds gather in the background, their undersides darkened by the fading daylight. The wind-scoured environment is visible in the exposed rock surfaces and the taut posture of the goat. A final sliver of golden light catches the edge of the cliff face, separating the dark silhouette from the bright sky.
