Silhouetted Drum Line on Festival Stage Vijayapura

Honeyed evening light fractures behind the dark forms of a drum line standing on a club riser. The musicians and their instruments form sharp, black silhouettes against the glowing backdrop of a festival main stage in Vijayapura. Thick cables snake across the riser floor, connecting to stands that rise like skeletal structures. Layered stage haze drifts through the air, catching the backlight and softening the edges of heavy curtains hanging in the distance. The musicians stand poised at the very edge of the frame, their instruments held ready for the downbeat. One cable loops tightly around the metal leg of a snare stand, anchoring the equipment to the wooden platform.
