Soft overcast light from a nautical dawn washes a public square in Kathmandu, where low-hanging clouds press against the stone facades of traditional temples. A Peruvian scissors dancer hangs suspended mid-air, his body arched as he leaps with long, gleaming blades extending from his waist. He wears a vibrant, multi-colored costume that stands out against the muted gray of the early spring sky. Below him, the cobblestone ground reflects the diffused brightness, while spectators in the background watch from the shadowed edges of the plaza. The sharp metal of the blades catches the weak light, creating a stark contrast with the soft, heavy clouds overhead. A small red flower in a nearby window box marks the season.
