San Francisco Cluttered Interior

Sunlight slants through the open window of a Victorian flat, casting long geometric shadows across a cluttered interior that smells of turpentine and damp wool. A heavy leather basketball rests against a stack of yellowed newspapers on a scarred oak table, its pebbled surface catching the warm late afternoon glow. Beside it, a small enamel bowl holds dried drips of blue paint, evidence of a recent session. Through the screen, a glimpse of vibrant pink bougainvillea spills over a wrought-iron railing, against the muted tones inside. One table fan hums quietly in the corner, its blades blurred by motion, stirring the thick air.
