Rich amber sunset light washes over a harbor edge in Nantes, where a Sami reindeer herder stands clad in traditional gákti clothing. The heavy overcast sky above diffuses the golden glow, casting a mysterious quality across the wet pavement and the figure's embroidered wool patterns. Early autumn air is suggested by the muted tones of the distant water and the crisp cut of the garments against the industrial stone of the quay. The low angle view emphasizes the height of the person against the vast, cloud-filled sky, while the intricate red and blue threads of the sash catch the fading sun. Shadows stretch long across the damp ground, ending at the hem of the coat where a small puddle reflects the bright orange sky.
