Cold silver dawn light spills across a golden wheat field beside the riverbank near Muscat. A farmer stands waist-deep in the crop, gripping a sickle in one hand while gathering a sheaf with the other. Heat haze shimmers in the air, blurring the distant horizon where the river meets the sky. Early spring leaves remain sparse on scattered shrubs along the bank. The worker wears a loose white dishdasha and a red-checkered ghutra, draped to shield against the rising sun. Dust motes float in the shimmering air, caught in the silver glow. Behind the figure, the river reflects the pale morning sky, its surface rippling gently against the muddy shore. One stalk bends under the weight of the grain near the worker's boot.
