Deep shadows swallow the lower torso of a reveler standing on a Bangkok waterfront during the Songkran celebration. A sharp rim of blue evening light traces the wet contours of the subject's shoulder and arm, highlighting the texture of soaked fabric clinging to the skin. Water droplets hang suspended on the edge of a plastic cup held near the chest, catching the last ambient glow from the overcast sky. Low-hanging gray clouds press down on the distant skyline, silhouetting the silhouettes of modern buildings along the riverbank. The subject's face remains obscured in darkness, while the wet pavement reflects the faint, cool tones of the twilight. One bead of water rolls slowly down the curve of a forearm, tracing a path through the grime and sweat.
