Rusted Hay Rake on Gate in Winter Field
Heavy iron teeth of a hay rake lean against a weathered wooden gate, their curved tines stained with dried mud and golden stubble. The metal frame shows rust from frequent use in the humid air of Gulshan, Dhaka. Behind the gate, a harvested grain field stretches out, its surface marked by wet tracks where a tractor recently passed through the damp winter earth. Low sun skims the tops of the remaining grain, casting long, soft shadows that stretch across the dry soil. The sky above is a solid sheet of heavy gray, diffusing the light into a honeyed glow that highlights the texture of the rusted metal and the coarse fibers of the hay. Dust hangs in the air, catching the low light and settling on the gate's horizontal slats. The wet tracks glisten faintly, reflecting the muted sky, while the dry dust contrasts sharply with the dark, damp earth.
