Romanian Outdoor Candlelit Dinner Under Stars

Late spring starlight spills over a wooden table set for two in a quiet Romanian courtyard. Two tall wax candles burn steadily, their flames casting warm amber pools onto rough-hewn planks and simple ceramic plates. Cold, dry air hangs heavy as the surrounding darkness swallows the garden edges, leaving only the faint ground glow from distant village lights. A woven linen tablecloth shows subtle creases where the wind has barely disturbed it. The deep blue of the night sky stretches overhead, unbroken by clouds. One silver fork rests beside a glass, catching the flickering light in a sharp, fleeting glint that marks the boundary between the warm fire and the encroaching cold.
