Golden hour light spills across a weathered wooden porch in Toronto’s Annex neighborhood, illuminating a cluster of terracotta clay pots arranged near a rusted iron railing. A young woman in a denim jacket leans against the peeling white siding, her hands busy adjusting the hem of a faded linen shirt with a seam ripper, the tool glinting briefly in the low sun.
