The glow casts a deep crimson wash over the textured walls and metal handrails, creating pools of shadow that rest on the corners. Rain streaks the high, narrow windows, blurring the evening sky outside. Heavy steel doors stand slightly ajar at the top, hinting at operational readiness within the confined space. The air appears still, marked only by the wet sheen on the floor and the rhythmic drip of water near the base of the stairs. One metal step shows a faint scratch where the red light catches the edge.
