Red Brick Warehouse Loft on Daule Quarry Ledge

Soft, diffused light from an overcast wet season sky settles on a red-brick Victorian warehouse perched atop a steep quarry ledge near Daule. The brickwork shows deep weathering and moisture stains, against the gray, damp concrete foundation that anchors the structure to the rough rock. Vapor hangs low in the air, softening the edges of the industrial building and the jagged quarry face behind it. A Dutch angle tilt emphasizes the mechanical severity of the exposed beams and the verticality of the converted loft windows. Rain-slicked surfaces reflect the pale gray sky, while water drips from the eaves onto the wet ground below. at the edge is a streak of dark moisture running down the corner of a white-framed window.
