Candlelit Bread Board on Window Seat in Rainy Huacho Night

Warm amber candlelight spills across a wooden bread board resting on a cushioned window seat. The board holds a loaf with a cracked, flour-dusted crust and a soft, porous interior where a knife has sliced into the dough. Rain streaks down the nearby glass pane, blurring the dark wet season night outside into indistinct shapes. Condensation beads along the window frame, catching the flickering flame. The wood grain of the board runs deep and tactile under the low light. Soft focus melts the background into shadow, leaving the texture of the bread and the glow of the wax as the only sharp details. one drop of water rests on the edge of the glass.
