Vibrant red and blue neon tubes glow behind a corrugated metal awning, casting fractured reflections onto wet concrete below. Water drips steadily from the awning's edge, creating a rhythmic curtain of liquid against the darkened arcade. Steam rises in thin, white plumes from nearby sidewalk grates, swirling into the cool blue twilight air. The shuttered storefronts stand in deep shadow, their glass windows reflecting the electric signage above. Puddles on the ground amplify the neon colors, turning the sidewalk into a mosaic of electric hues. one drop of water hangs from the metal lip before falling, breaking the surface of a small pool and sending out concentric ripples that distort the glowing lights beneath.
