The low sun slants through the open doorway of a modest taco stand, casting long amber shadows across a worn concrete counter. A woman’s hands, dusted with flour, press masa into a mold while a red lacquered wooden tray sits nearby, holding fresh tortillas stacked with casual precision. Beside the tray, a metal mesh colander rests on a folded blue cloth, still holding the damp residue of rinsed corn. The golden light catches the steam rising from a large pot in the background, softening the edges of the bustling street visible just beyond the threshold.
