Pour-Stop Angle Crate on Scaffolded New York Facade

Damp plywood panels form a rigid angle crate resting against a steel scaffold along a New York building facade. Crushed stone fills the bottom of the container, darkening the wood fibers where recent rain left moisture. Soft, diffused light from heavy overcast skies eliminates harsh shadows, revealing the rough texture of the aggregate and the grain of the wet timber. The structure sits at the edge of a construction zone, its utilitarian form against the vertical lines of the metal framework. Dust settles on the stone surface, creating a muted gray layer over the wet aggregates. A small puddle gathers in the corner where the plywood meets the metal support, reflecting the dull sky above.
