Potted Succulents in Tokyo

A small cluster of potted succulents sits arranged on a narrow concrete windowsill within a Tokyo apartment, lit by the bright, clear light of a clear afternoon. The fleshy, rosette-shaped leaves of the jade plants display varying shades of green and subtle blue-grey tints under the direct sunlight. A few scattered soil grains and a tiny dried leaf rest on the rough, dusty surface of the sill beside the ceramic pots. The sharp, geometric shadows cast by the plants stretch across the sill, highlighting the texture of the concrete and the smooth curves of the succulent leaves.
