A standard poodle stands on a rain-darkened wooden porch, its curly coat catching the pale sidelight of early morning. The dog faces slightly left, displaying a distinct muzzle shape and ears set high against the damp air. Behind the animal, a shopfront glass reflects the gray sky while a doorway shadow cuts across the peeling white wall. A cafe chair pushed askew sits near the edge of the frame, and a small shrub peeks in from the right corner. Water beads on the wood grain of the railing, and the shallow depth of field blurs the background into soft greens and grays. The dog's dark eyes hold a steady gaze, and raindrops rest on the tips of its fur. A brass bell on the collar rests against the chest, catching a faint glint of the dawn.
