A poodle stands in profile against a weathered concrete courtyard wall in District 4, its curly coat rendered in sharp detail by the soft, diffused light of pre-dawn. The animal's muzzle shape and floppy ears are clearly defined, showing the texture of groomed fur that catches the faint morning glow. Moisture from the monsoon season rests on the low wall, creating dark patches where the concrete meets the damp ground. The dog's dark eye reflects the gray sky above, while a thin layer of mist hangs low in the air, softening the edges of the scene. The subject sits near the frame's edge, leaving space to the right where the rough texture of the painted plaster continues into the shadows. One drop of water slides slowly down a curl on the poodle's shoulder.
