Polar Bear Den Entrance in Swedish Snowbank

Misty gray light falls through low-hanging clouds to illuminate a tunnel carved into a massive snowbank. The entrance sits nestled against a border of dormant, frost-covered reeds. Thick layers of ice and wind-packed snow frame the dark, arched opening where the polar bear resides. A shallow depth of field blurs the distant reed bed into soft white strokes, keeping focus on the rough texture of the snow crust. Tiny ice crystals catch the weak dawn glow along the tunnel rim. The ground slopes gently upward, covered in a blanket of undisturbed powder that meets the dark void of the den.
