Dark, moisture-heavy soil runs alongside a tractor track where white harvesting nets spread across the ground. Rows of pistachio trees stand heavy with green fruit, their leaves reflecting the clear late-afternoon sun. Low-lying fog pools in the depressions between the tree lines, creating a soft gray mist that hugs the earth. The nets lie flat against the dirt, ready to catch falling nuts as the harvest continues. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the dark earth, defining the space between the rows. Patches of wet ground glisten where the monsoon moisture has not yet evaporated, against the dry, dusty track where the tractor has passed.
