Pile Driver Hammering Steel Beams in Colmar Welding Bay

Heavy steel beams rise from soft, churned earth as a massive pile driver hammer descends in a rhythmic arc. The industrial bay near Colmar glows under soft, overcast midmorning light that flattens shadows and highlights the dull gray of the machinery. Rust streaks mar the metal surfaces, against the fresh, dark mud clinging to the beam tips. Early autumn air hangs heavy, though the air itself remains unseen, only suggested by the muted tones of the overcast sky visible through the open bay doors. Dust particles float above the impact zone, settling on the wet ground. A deep shadow falls across the lower corner of the frame, at the base of the heavy steel structure against the lighter background.
