Low morning light spills across a wet cobblestone street in Brussels, catching the chrome fender of a parked bicycle leaning against a damp stone wall. The scene is quiet, with steam rising from a nearby café vent, softening the sharp angles of the surrounding architecture. One sunflower, slightly wilted, rests in a cracked plastic bucket on the sidewalk, its yellow petals against the grey pavement. Nearby, a key blank glints on a metal grate, abandoned or dropped, adding a small, sharp detail to the otherwise soft, overcast morning. The light is pale and diffuse, washing out colors but highlighting the textures of the wet stones and the rough bark of a nearby tree.
